It’s mother’s day in Australia. I am proud to be a daughter and a mother. This is a poetry post in which I reflect on a fortunate life that has enabled me to be safe and to in turn keep those around me safe. On mother’s day we honour all mothers - not just those that have given birth but those who step up to mother. On this day we say NO to violence against women and children.
